Tammy McKnight

Tune-Kel 603 – Stop These Teardrops/Don’t Rub It In

Tammy McKnight was a New Orleans vocalist who cut at least two 45s in the mid-60s.  The Tune-Kel is the only one which bears the Lynn’s Production credit (as well as being a Leon Bonds composition) and is sequenced immediately before the Al White 45 in the Tune-Kel catalog.  Her other 45 was released on the New Orleans based Satin label and saw her supported by Al White & the Hi-Liters.  It is a E. Dardar/Allen Orange composition which also saw release on the Nashville based Athens label.  Tammy McKnight also appears on The Beat TV series out of Nashville performing the Satin/Athens 45 track Take Away These Chains.
