Tyrone Harris was a Chicago artist who also has another 45 as Ty Harris on AMG. He was originally a drummer who is known to have played with the pianist Lafayette Leake. Note that there are no Reginald or Lynn’s credits on the label only the VH&L distribution moniker which would make sense for a Chicago recording. This must have been something of a local hit because there are no less than five variations, each on different colored labels. To go with the purple copy pictured there are also blue, green, yellow and red label variations, collect them all. Nothing Seems To Go Right is a ballad which sort of reminds me of Jerry Butler while Ain’t That Fun is a great piece of funky soul with a totally different sounding vocal style, a cool 45.
