Startown 101 – I Don’t Understand You Woman/I Don’t Really Have The Blues
I don’t know much about this 45 or it’s artist. It is a blues record with strong drum & organ work. This release links to both Mississippi & Chicago as it was also released up north on the Palos label. The Startown label & Allen White also connect it to Chattanooga/Nashville so it could have been leased out from there. On the label we see the Reginald & VH&L/Circle credits. Si Perry’s real name was Perry Richmond & he was originally out of El Dorado, AR but sadly passed away in 2005. If you can shed any light on the rest of Si Perry’s career please let me know.
